Itinerary
To get a general panorama of the region, we take a photo break in Guvercinlik Valley. Then, we see an interesting 'CAVE HOUSE' around Uchisar Castle, showing how fairy chimneys are carved and used as dwellings.
In PASABAGI, also known as Monk's Valley, which houses different forms of fairy chimneys, we take a short walk and have enough time to photograph the formations from different angles.
In the afternoon, we visit CAVUSIN, famous for its rock blocks resembling Swiss cheese. Inside the GOREME OPEN-AIR MUSEUM, we explore Elmalı, Çarıklı, Yılanlı churches, and several chapels, which showcase interesting examples of wall fresco art from a period.
A must in the region is to watch the art made by the skillful hands of a potter behind a potter's wheel. Those interested can also shop for souvenirs.
Then, we check into our hotel for overnight stay. Dinner and breakfast will be provided at the hotel.
For this evening, we recommend the traditional Lamb Night program for those interested.

After breakfast at our hotel, we take a photo break in DERVENT VALLEY, named after the rock resembling a camel's hump. Then, we visit MUSTAFAPASA, known more by its old name SİNASOS, which holds memories of the painful years of the population exchange. We walk through the restored old mansions and visit the CONSTANTINE and HELENE CHURCH.
Photographing the fairy chimneys known as 'THREE BEAUTIES' and the distant Erciyes Mountain rising into the sky. Finally, we visit an UNDERGROUND CITY (either Ozkonak, Kaymakli, or Derinkuyu) before slowly starting the return journey.
After a break by the Tuzgolu, one of the lakes with the highest salt content in the world, we continue our journey.
